After India's loss against Australia in the Boxing Day Testslot paraiso, many reports were allegedly 'leaked' from the dressing room which had created tension between the head coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Rohit Sharma.

Now, according to a video report from News 24, Gambhir has told the BCCI officials during the review meeting that Indian player Sarfaraz Khan was behind all the rumours and leaks of the dressing room chats.

The BCCI review meeting was held in Mumbai after India's 1-3 defeat in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Down Under. BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia, Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar, Coach Gambhir and Captain Rohit Sharma were part of the meeting.

Apparently, Gambhir was not happy with the leaks of chats during the Australia series and had also said, "Conversation happens between individuals and should remain between them" during a press conference in Sydney.

There has been no reaction to this claim from either Gambhir or Sarfaraz. According to the report, Sarfaraz might not play again for India as long as Gambhir is India's head coach.

Sarfaraz Khan was included in the India squad for the series in Australia, but he did not play in any of the five matches, which took place over a span of 45 days. According to reports, Gautam Gambhir informed the BCCI stakeholders that Sarfaraz was the one who leaked information to the media regarding his comments in the dressing room after the team's loss in the Boxing Day Test.

India is set to host England for a five-match T20I series starting on 22 January and will play a three-game ODI bilateral series against them from 6 February before the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 starts on 19 February.

India, the most successful team in the competition, now have five titles, including back-to-back triumphs in 2023 and 2024. The victory adds to their bronze medal secured at the Paris Olympic Games last month.

After a goalless first quarter, Korea struck just 36 seconds into the second quarter with Jungjun Lee finding the net due to a mistake from Pakistan goalkeeper Abdullah Ishtiyaq Khan. The goal remained the difference between the two teams till the half-time.

The head coach Gambhir is under scrutiny after a 1-3 series loss against Australia and a clean sweep at home against New Zealand before that. India also lost an ODI series in Sri Lanka last year under his coaching.

Gautam Gambhir replaced Rahul Dravid as the head coach of the Indian cricket team in June. Since then, India has lost three major series. With a significant ICC event approaching next month, BCCI officials are uncertain about his tenure. According to reports, Gambhir's future as head coach will depend on India's performance in the Champions Trophy 2025.

India have lost six out of 10 Test matches since Gambhir became head coach (three against New Zealand and three against Australia). India have three matches (two against Bangladesh and one against Australia) and one match ended in a draw in Adelaide.slot paraiso
